Piano

Saturday, February 14, 2009

Did you know that Martha Argerich married a chinese conductor/composer for a while?? she became pregnant with his child accidentally (lol, as Mrs. Ferrario says, these things are never ACCIDENTAL), and she went through the traditional chinese marriage. she fled to geneva to give birth, and separated from her husband. Due to the fact that her career is unstable, she lost custody of her child.
Her child, Lyda Argerich-Chen, was finally reunited with Martha Argerich 17 years later, as Lyda had become a violist and started working with her mother. *sniffs* i wonder why Martha Argerich didnt look for her cild in between those 17 years?
well, anyways, I learned the first 2 pages of Chopin's Piano Concerto No. 1 in E Minor :D:D here's a sample of it

Nutcracker Suite for Piano Solo, arranged by Pletnev Free Download

Saturday, January 03, 2009

many people who have seen this video have been going crazy trying to find the sheet music for this, including me. finally, i found it in a torrent which included sheet music from composers whose name started with a "T" from all classical/romantic/baroque...etc. periods. haha, needless to say, I downloaded a bunch of unnecessary sheet music just to get to the 30 pages that I need.
I uploaded the Nutcracker Suite for Piano Solo, arranged by Pletnev, onto megaupload. here are the links.

About Twilight

Thursday, January 01, 2009

around 10 months ago, I posted a blog with URL for the audiobooks of the twilight series. since then, it has circulated around like crazy! i cant tell u how elated I am.
HAPPY NEW YEAR'S btw. 2009 doesnt have a nice ring to it, as my friend observed.
ooh back to the audiobooks. when u search up on google "Twilight audiobooks free download", u'll find my blog on the 7th selection. SEVEN!! i'll make it my goal to get to 2nd, and that'll be enough. WHOOT
ooh and there was one website that wrote an article about the chinese not being happy with how the chinese actor was portrayed in pirates of the caribbean. it seems they took the picture of the poster of pirates of the caribbean 3 from my blog, and underneath the picture, it says "credit: wendyhyperwitch.blogspot.com" and "copyright: wendyhyperwitch.blogspot.com" i cant tell u how HILARIOUS it is to find that. AHAHAHAHA.
if u search up wendyhyperwitch on google, u'll find a number of websites saying that my blog is THE place to get the audiobooks. i feel so proud...

Grade 10

Tuesday, December 23, 2008

heh
after 6 months, I decide to write another blog. writing a daily blogs is not mandatory now, so...lol of course, i dont write one everyday anymore.
grade 10 has its ups and downs. on the up side, i met so many more great ppl, from all over vancouver! on the down side, my very best friend for 3 years decided to stay the fudge away from me. on the other up side, science is now as easy as grade 5 math.
ooh i just found out the other day that the husband of ms hu (now mrs jay), mr jay, teaches science at magee. whoooot gooo sciency couples!
i shall just list some random facts that i found out recently
1. people can fart after death (k, imagine this. a friend died. you're carrying his coffin for burial along with his other friends. you walk past weeping ppl who look as if they're gonna die from misery. then suddenly, faaaaaaaaaaaaaaart, the corpse inside the coffin flatulates.)
2. there is a type of underwear designed to absorb the smell that comes with farts
3. the largest spider web has the diameter of 3 meters
4. there is a medical condition called fetus in fetus. basically, what this means is that, sometimes, when a mother is pregnant with twins, one twin consumes the other twin. usually, both twins die, but there are rare circumstances where these twins get born. the twin that was engulfed grows inside the larger twin, feeding off the larger twin's blood supply like a parasite.
5. a defect called harlequin type ichthyosis is the most grotesque-looking disease that i have ever seen. check it out.

soooo im writing a blog about summer
...comes from my memory book. i actually think its a little stupid, but thats ok!

Summer is, without a doubt, my favourite time of the year. Schools are not in session, the best fruits become ripe, my birthday is just around the corner, the temperature keeps me feeling warm, and the clothes that can only be worn in the hot temperature can come out of the stuffy closet.
When I was in elementary school, summer always seemed boring and long. I had nothing to do, and school kept me busy. Last year, I had contradictory ideas about summer. Schoolwork in secondary school was so stressing, summer just didn’t seem to be enough of a break. I needed the break last year, and so did my classmates.
My favourite fruits, including lychee, mangos, watermelons, cherries, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and pineapples all become ripe during the summer. It’s the perfect time to enjoy such delicious, sweet fruits, and when chilled, these fruits serve as a relief from the hot.
My birthday is July 27th, and every year, I have a birthday party. I feel sorry for those who have to go to school on their birthdays. Since my birthday is in the summer, I am allowed to arrange sleepovers for as many nights as I want, though none have gone farther than 2 nights.
I welcome the hot temperature in Vancouver. It rains most of the year, and therefore, I appreciate the two months of the year when it rarely rains. Along with the hot temperature comes the availability of the beach and outdoor swimming pool. Also, sundaes, slurpees, and cold drinks, although they can be eaten during the winter, are much appreciated in this weather.
Clothes, too, are a great plus side to summer. No more heavy winter jackets, no more stuffy turtlenecks, and no more scratchy long underwear! Now, I can say hello to T-shirts, skirts, and sandals! The clothes are weightless and non-cumbersome. They are the very best part of summer, if you ask me.
Summer is just one and a half weeks away. It’s going to be a busy one and a half weeks, but the end is near and I just can’t wait!

...dedicating this to my immigration to canada.

Immigration to Canada

Coming to Canada wasn’t an easy transition for me. I struggled with English for three years, which meant three years of isolation from the “normal” kids.
I immigrated to Canada on April 8th, 2000. I was in grade one back then. On one of my assignments, I accidently wrote “My Father is a Dragon” instead of “My Father’s Dragon” as the title of an assignment. I suppose I didn’t understand that words ending with and apostrophe and an s meant possessives back then. My teacher sniggered at it when she saw it, and I remember wondering about what she was sniggering at.
I switched to Weir school at the beginning of grade two. The kids started passing around “Wendy Germs” when they realized I was different. That part of grade two was particularly frustrating and heart-breaking.
One particularly embarrassing incident that I remember was when I tried to make up a joke as a class assignment. I didn’t understand the meaning of the word “joke” at the time, so one of my classmates told me that it was basically a funny question with a funny answer. I decided on one question and decided to tell it to the class.
“So…what do you think is the smallest animal on earth?” I asked. Then without waiting for an answer, I shouted enthusiastically “AN ELEPHANT!!” and laughed.
There was dead silence.
One kid raised his hand up and decided to comment. “I don’t get it,” the kid said.
I didn’t think it was embarrassing at the time, but once I understood what a joke really meant (some months later), I turned beet red inside.
Grade three was a better time for me. I found a friend that was able to relate to me, and we were able to do things together. My English finally improved in grade four, and I stopped going to ESL.
Now, my English is as good as any ninth-grader born here, though I can’t say the same for my social skills. It has been a pleasurable time, here in Canada. I wouldn’t go back to China even if catching up in schoolwork in China is possible.

im gonna dedicate this blog to grade 7 camp.

Camp Elphinstone

Grade seven camp was probably the best week I’ve had in my lifetime. Overlooking the pain in my arm that constantly bothered me, it only had one other flaw in it.
The first day I spent at Camp Elphinstone, I cracked my arm while playing Capture the Flag in the dark. The teachers thought that the pain would go away in a couple of days, but when I got back from camp, my doctor said that I should’ve gotten a cast for a week because here was a crack in my radius. The crack hurt every minute of camp. It took three times as long to get dressed, and I was unable to tie my hair myself. Taking showers were a pain, and canoeing was almost impossible.
Some great memories include yelling “How Ya Doin’?” from the window with Amy’s stuffed bunny to people going into the washroom (one of the windows of our cabin faced directly to the entrance of the washroom). The people would give us a variety of different queer looks that were extremely amusing.
Another great memory was of playing “Slap the Butt” with Amy, Karen, Judy, and Carmen. Basically, if one person lost a game of poker, they would get slapped on the butt 10 times. One of the perks of playing this game was that it was impossible to get me to budge from my sitting position, making it impossible to slap my butt when I lost.
The meals at Camp Elphinstone were great. There was lasagna, ice cream, hash browns, pizza, jelly, hot chocolate, grilled cheeseburgers…etc. You could eat as much as you want, without limitations. Karen and I used to have competitions on how much we were able to fit into our stomachs. I think I gained 10 pounds within that week alone.
Some activities we did include canoeing/kayaking, archery, and hiking. Once, we found a banana slug on a leaf during one of the hikes. The instructor licked it, and dared us to lick it. I was a wimp. I did not lick it. Amy and Carmen did though, and they enjoyed doing so. They had competitions of who can lick the most slugs during the time that we were there. I personally despise slugs, and even more so than dandy longlegs.
There was another downside of Camp Elphinstone though. In the showers, water was scarce. You could literally hear every drip of water as they hit the floor. Ok, so, maybe I was exaggerating it a bit. But water was still a problem in the showers.
Overall, that week in seventh grade had mostly perks and few downsides. I can’t wait for Camp Keats next year! Hopefully, it would be just as fun.

homework catching up onto me..
oh and i have good news! i think prince william is back together with kate middleton!! whoot!! i thought queen elizabeth was a little mean, making them decide to either marry or separate. well, right now, they are doing neither.
im gonna post this blog with my memory book:

A Dozen and Two Things I Found Amusing / Curious

1. My grade seven teacher was 1.98 meters tall. When I sat at my desk and he stood above me to talk to me, the only thing I saw when I looked at him was his nostrils. They were the longest nostrils I’ve ever seen. I am willing to bet that, if I measured them, they would have been 2 cm wide at its widest point.
2. As I mentioned earlier, my grade seven teacher was quite tall. Guess who he married? An elementary school teacher who was 10 cm shorter than me.
3. Karen and I came up with this when we walked home together:
Her sister would eat only the sweetest part of the slice of watermelon. Karen would say “wasteful!” to her sister, then eat the whole thing until there was a thin layer of red before the white layer. Her mother would then say “wasteful!” and eat a slice of watermelon until she gets to the white part. Her grandmother would then say “wasteful!” and boil the watermelon peel to eat.
4. I had a math classmate who bragged about how smart she was in math. One time she said to me, “this stuff is so easy: I learned it 2 years ago!” After looking at the exercises we were supposed to do for two minutes, she turned around and asked me, “How do you do this question? I don’t get it.”
5. The day right before Ms. Hu gave us notes on pregnancy, my piano teacher gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. *note, I didn’t find him beautiful at all. He was red, wrinkly, and ugly. I just added beautiful because it sounded nice.
6. My grade four teacher had hands that looked like they were carved out of marble. They were unnaturally pale, and were always in a crescent shape.
7. My grade four teacher had used her eraser for a total of 8 years
8. My grade four teacher participated in the Olympics for gymnastics
9. The name of my grade four teacher’s husband could be seen on one of those information stands near Canada Place. I think he was a captain of some sort.
10. My teacher was engaged to get married, and I once saw her writing her soon-to-be-new-name onto a piece of paper over and over again. It was sweet.
11. My mother calls my father “Daddy”, and my father calls my mother “Mommy”. They started ever since I was born, so I didn’t think it was weird. However, when Anne and Karen noticed, I realized it was rather unusual.
12. I had lice when I was in grade two. Once, I combed out a rather large louse, and I popped it with my fingernails. It made a poppy sound then squirted a thing bit of white substance. It was gross.
13. One of my teachers was bald. Whenever he walked out into the sunshine, the sunlight created a patch of light on his head. I used to wonder if he used violin polish (the only kind of polish I had) to polish his head.
14. My mom once had a co-worker who used to bring watermelon slices with the top bitten off to eat at work. My mom asked her why it was like that, and she responded proudly, “my son only eats the best part.”

life is just not working out for me. i think i feel stress more than most other people. thats why i dont procrastinate. i panic more easily than other people. the people who can afford to procrastinate procrastinate, while the people who cant afford to procrastinate don't procrastinate. i cant afford the stress of doing everything last minute, except for chinese and french school homework. i guess that would make me a more panic-vunerable person.

there was a guy who did a dance while pretending he was a robot. he could move his body in a way ive never seen before. seriously. he looked like he was made of sheets of metal that didnt bend.
oh and there was this other guy who put his hands under his arm pits and slouched down to dance. it looked stupid. seriously, he looked like a chicken trying to spread its legs apart.
and this other guy, he wore a mask and hopped around and counted that as dancing. however, he was 200 pounds before he started this, and now, hes thinner than isaac. this type of "dancing" has to have some effect.

i had chinese school today. just chinese school. and it SUCKED. IT SUCKED SO MUCH, IT GOT STUCK INSIDE THE BLACK HOLE. dont know if u understand that. i dont care if u do.
my teacher made me read 3 whole paragraphs out loud. it was so embarrassing. i could just hear ppl snickering behind me. well, i suppose my chinese is quite horrible, but that doesnt give them reason to snicker.
we went shopping before chinese school. we bought lots of food that i like, including pizza tarts, potato puffs, pillsbury apple tart-like things, and cookie dough. i can make them myself in just no time, and they taste great! oh we bought another bag of those kernals that anne likes so much. anne! if ure reading this, i would like to let u know that my mom thinks u're a pig that makes regular visits to our house! well, take no offense, cuz i like it when u take ur weekly rendezvous to my house. its just something i found quite funny.
after chinese school, we went up to a beach in north vancouver and ate packaged pho. then i played a game with my mom in which i say one sentence and she says the next and we make a story with it. it wasnt actually funny, but it was funny enough. turns out her mom's made of gold and her father's made of fish. they mated together, somehow, to achieve a goldfish (my mom). my dad's a human (which he is), and i am now a mermaid! gooo me!!

i cant believe this. why is it that, when im stressed, i loose EVERYTHING of importance? i lost MY SCIENCE TEXTBOOK AND BIOLOGY NOTES for god's sake. oh and guess what? i lost a vancouver public library book.
hmm forgot to tell karen i have her agenda. again. i wonder if she noticed its gone? think she did.
i would start working on my english project if it weren't for the fact that i didnt know whether i could mix up a bunch of songs to create one single song to illustrate the book wildlife. seriously though, i find the book increasingly boring. i guess that's just because im not good enough to read into all the symbolism that's supposed to be there. well, im shallow. so what? i dont care. its boring boring boring boring.

watched an affair to remember today. i really dont think its that good. why do people like it so much. its not NOT good. it was just plain. a plain movie. now, something like gone with the wind, should have been in its place. in my opinion, the best romance movie was titanic, followed by gone with the wind, ghost, the notebook, and love story. love the songs by the way. especially in gone with the wind, tara's theme. so smooth, melodious, simply beautiful. and titanic, the song in there makes me cry. ghost...very smooth, calming song. "ooh, my love, my darling, I hunger for your touch..." its called unchained melody.

i watched the golden compass. it was pretty good. mrs coulter was played really really well. lyra was okay...
the ending was HORRIBLE. HORRIBLE. i distincly remember that, in the book, the ending was of mrs coulter and lord asriel together in each others' arms, looking up at the aurora borealis. THIS WAS NOT THE ENDING OF THE MOVIE. so disappointed.
the bear looked really real tho. the golden monkey of mrs coulter was actually quite ugly looking. it should have looked lavish.

i need to sign up for summer school. and fast. they're gonna be out of space soon. i just hope there'll be enough room for me.
i wonder if adult life will be this stressed? i certainly think that i'll be just as stressed, if not more stressed, throughout my high school life. im planning on continuing piano too. really...i just think that i should lessen my own work load. however, i do not i repeat, DO NOT want to quit piano. i want to at least get my ARCT's. although i would not be a performer when i grow up, at least i'll be able to teach. its just so sad, u know? my fingers are too short, to stubby to be those of a performer's. also, my right pinkie has the knot in the middle. it makes my pinkie 5mm shorter than the other one. this actually affects me a great deal.

I found this lovely french song - u must listen to it!!! its simply beeauttiful.
It's called Les Parapluies de Cherbourg, or the Umbrellas of Cherbourg

AND OH GUESS WHAT? i changed it to english! here it is

No, I will not live life without you
I will not, don't leave, I will die about it
An instant without you and I can't exist
But my love, don't leave me
My love, I will wait for you all my life,
Stay near me, come back, I beg you
I need you, I want to live for you
Oh, my love, don't leave me
THey separated on the platform of a station
They took themselves away in a final glance
Oh I love you, don't leave me
I will not, don't leave, I will die about it
An instant without you and I can't exist
But my love, don't leave me
My love, I will wait for you all my life,
Stay near me, come back, I beg you
I need you, I want to live for you
Oh, my love, don't leave me

pretty pretty. and im downloading the movie now.

wellllll
i really have nothing to say now. would you like to read a letter from frederick douglass to harriet tubman? its rather well written:
Letter from Frederick Douglass.
ROCHESTER, August 29, 1868

DEAR HARRIET: I am glad to know that the story of your eventful life has been written by a kind lady, and that the same is soon to be published. You ask for what you do not need when you call upon me for a word of commendation. I need such words from you far more than you can need them from me, especially where your superior labors and devotion to the cause of the lately enslaved of our land are known as I know them. The difference between us is very marked. Most that I have done and suffered in the service of our cause has been in public, and I have received much encouragement at every step of the way. You, on the other hand, have labored in a private way. I have wrought in the day—you in the night. I have had the applause of the crowd and the satisfaction that comes of being approved by the multitude, while the most that you have done has been witnessed by a few trembling, scarred, and foot-sore bondmen and women, whom you have led out of the house of bondage, and whose heartfelt “God bless you” has been your only reward. The midnight sky and the silent stars have been the witnesses of your devotion to freedom and of your heroism. Excepting John Brown—of sacred memory—I know of no one who has willingly encountered more perils and hardships to serve our enslaved people than you have. Much that you have done would seem improbable to, those who do not know you as I know you. It is to me a great pleasure and a great privilege to bear testimony to your character and your works, and to say to those to whom you may come, that I regard you in every way truthful and trustworthy.

Your friend,

FREDERICK DOUGLASS.

arrghh why am i talking about this? i got a new DVD player today! and i got some food. now that i have a WORKING dvd player, i can burn discs and be able to play them on the tv and not watch everything on the computer. thats certainly nice.

i should send these blogs to mr olson now. i dont remember my last blog send. should send it to him everyday.
my piano lesson went relatively well today. gotta play more scales, memorize more. i think i am able to pass the test in june. theres still exactly 60 days left. i'll play around 1.5 hours each day.
hmm
mr martin talked to us about the camping trip that he's planning! we're leaning VERY HEAVILY towards the 2-3 day one. it costs 180 dollars, and its after school ends, but HEY, i dont care. i love camping trips. tho it is a few days before my piano exam. i think i talk about it everyday now. WHY IS PIANO SO STRESSFUL? if i were taking violin lessons, i think i would collapse. geez...why wont my mom let me quit chinese?? i suck at chinese. i have no talent in chinese. its just...IMPOSSIBLE. i know i know its important, but it really seems that i havent improved in 3 years! cant remember a single character for more than a week. actually, after i learned a new word, after around 2 days, its gone out of my head. as they say in chinese, through one ear, other the other. or, in my case, through one eye and out the other. im just not DIGESTING it.

kevjumba videos on youtube are HILARIOUS.
my favourite is the one about...his rash. well, actually, i'll tell u the story:
One day, while he was playing beach soccer with his friends at the beach, he came home with a rash that itched all over his body. he asked his mom for help. his mom, being the kind tradition chinese lady, told him to rub ice all over his body. so, he did. it helped the itching, for 10 minutes. then it started itching all over again. once again he asked his mom for help. his mom said to rub fruit over his body. she gave him a piece of cantelope, and he obeyed. he was desperate at the time. well, the cantelope didn't help. his skin started itching in 5 minutes. he asked his mother again for help. this time, he asked her for REAL medication, not old chinese remedies. she gave him anti-fungal powder. he told his mom what it was, and his mom started rummaging in the medicine cupboard again. then, in prob 1 hour, she ran to him, excited, telling him that she's found the perfect medication. well, he asked his mom, can she give it to him? she handed it to him. it said "VAGINAL CREAM" on the tube. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. well, i think he ended up rummaging in his cupboard himself.
anyways, i thought it was THE MOST HILARIOUS STORY ive ever heard. actually, i shouldnt have told it to u. u should i watched it. heres the link:

you've got to love him.

today was the sun run. im actually pretty happy with my time. we (karen, anne, and i) ran 3.5/10 of the sun run, and got 40 minutes faster than our last year's time. what's more, this year, we're actually less tired. last year, after walking 2 hours, we sat on the floor of the GM place cuz our legs gave out under us. this year, we felt...normal. we even went to subway first before we got home. that's extra walking. last year, we didnt feel AT ALL like extra walking.
remember yesterday, i said that i needed to finish 3/4 of my science travel booklet? well, guess what i did right after i got home (at 2 oclock)? i watched GONE WITH THE WIND!!! ooh that is exactly the same as doing my science travel booklet. NOT. well, it was good though. really good. i love gone with the wind. i would marry it if i could lol. not really. karen likes to make that joke. when i say i love something, she asks me whether i would like to marry it.
gone with the wind...lalalalalalala i love the song. theres tara's theme (google it) that has a really nice, smooth, calming melody. nothing can compare to it.
oh and i DID get 3/4ths of my science travel brochure even after watching so much tv. see how much i finished this week? its amazing, isnt it? its amazing how much u can do when you're not reading fanfiction or watching kevjumba / nigahiga on youtube.

i took my chinese exam today. it was quite an easy test, but...i did worse than everyone else. really. i am 100% sure i lack some kind of language skill. i feel linguistally retarded.
but...i have a piano lesson after this. i had to reschedule my piano lesson to tonight becuz of the dinner and movie last night. im not saying that i regret it. its just that this week is going to be ONE HECK OF A BUSY ONE.
well, as i recall saying, i had dinner and movie at oakridge from 4-9 (karen and i got there at 4 oclock and ate before going to white spot. i was too hungry to wait for 5:30, so i bought jelly doughnuts from safeway.) this left no time for homework whatsoever
on saturday, i had french school, studied for chinese exam after french school till the start of chinese school at 3 oclock, went to chinese school from 3 to 6 oclock, practiced piano from 6 to 7, then had piano lesson from 7 to 8. its THREE; I REPEAT THREE lessons in one day.french school - 2 hours; chinese school - 3 hours; piano lesson - 1 hour. huumph. no one can say their life is busing than theirs.
oh and tomorrow, im gonna do the sun run with karen and anne, and do at least 3/4ths of my science travel booklet. that is actually a lot of work, since i haven't started on it at all.

hmm i watched another movie today. an affair to remember. its very old, but its rated one of the top 5 romance movies. #1 being casablanca, #2 being titanic, #3 wuthering heights #4 an affair to remember #5 gone with the wind. if i were in charge of that list, i would put #1 gone with the wind, #2 titanic, #3 casablanca, #4 wuthering heights, and #5 affair to remember. affair to remember wasnt that good. i think ghost (which is in #10) could beat it easily. what was so good about an affair to remember? it was the typical story. girl (who is taken) means guy. they fall in love within the 3 or 4 days that they spend on a cruise ship. girl goes back to her original guy. after 6 months, they decide to meet, cuz girl decides to ditch her original boyfriend. girl is stopped from going to meeting place because of an accident. guy becomes crestfallen. a few months later, they meet coincidentally in an opera. guy find girl to satify his curiosity. they get together. the end. i actually think its quite boring.

today, i actually analysed the word "Trust" and what it entails.
Trust actually is not a wholly good thing. it can leave you feeling deceived, betrayed. yet, we cannot live without it. without trust, u cannot cooperate with other people. u'll have to do everything on your own. actually, u won't be able to do anything. when you buy a computer, per say, u might think that the sales person is selling u a faulty computer with a hard drive missing. or if u want to go to an interview for a job, u might think that the interviewer is making up everything he says and actually would pay u half of what ur salary is supposed to be. and ecetra.

and we went out to eat.
and i finished FINISHED my decision #1 powerpoint. now, all i'll have to do is prepare a presentation. not much of a problem. i'll have to spend hours in the car anyways. i dont need a computer to prepare for a presentation.
well, the powerpoint itself was finished within 30 minutes, so...i actually didnt spend much time on it.
OOH I forgot to mention that i took STICKY PICS!!! this is my fist time. we wasted 26dollars on it. the last one sucked tho. it didnt give us enough time to decorate it. i'll post some pictures up sometime.

went to six flags today instead of disneyland. i can say now that i regret it. I SPENT ALMOST ALL MY TIME WAITING FOR MY RIDE! i also put my purse in the wrong locker. acter i closed the locker, i forgot the number immediately, resulting in my coming back to six flags at 10:30 PM to get it from the lost and found. oh by the way, i went on a total of FOUR RIDES! how nice!!! NOT.
and after six flags, we went shopping. abercrombie & fitch, hollister, then aropostle. i most admit, clothes here are a lot nicer. i bought one shirt each from abercrombie and hollister, then i bought 6 pieces of clothing from aropostle. donno if i spelled that right. but the clothes are nice.

oh im halfway across oregon right now. despite the "no tax" rule in oregon, everything is still quite expensive. i mean, the made up for the tax by making the food extra-expensive.

tmw's thursday...
the science flipbook is due. and nothing else is due. i wonder what kind of math lesson i'll miss on friday?? better ask mr stuart tmw.
there was a strict and good-looking strings substitute today. he conducted really well. and i mean REALLY WELL. better than mr hill. its not that he's good-looking that im giving him credit. its just that he believes in sincerety for music. i like that. music is good. correction: classical music is good, rap is not. oh wait, i dont consider rap music. i really wish rap doesnt exist. rock and pop is okay, but rap is just vile. no offense, rap-loving people. i just dont belong in ur group.

my mom just got the idea to leave on friday morning instead of saturday. i sorta wanna leave on friday, sorta not. actually, i REALLY want to see my pre-ib letter, rather than somebody read it to me. i got permission to anne to keep my letter.
hmmm
my mom bought me earings with an angel imprinted on it. and its actually quite HEAVY. sry sry sry mom, they look...weird. im wearning them to humour her. i mean, angels made of metal?? they're around 3 cm long. thats VERY long. ahhh well...humouring her is what counts.

IM GETTING GETTING GETTING A NEEEEEW PIANO!!! WHOOOOT!!! its a yamaha, 14 years old (like me), black, and has this thing that opens up in the front to let more sound come out. oh and its a UX model, which means the back has a cross-like shape, not straight wooden beams. this focuses the sound together more and makes the piano nicer. :D:D i love my soon-to-be-new-piano :D

huumph i hate PE. mrs blake gave annie and me a 0 on our orienteering course because we forgot to put our names onto the sheet. i really think that's unfair. MRS BLAKE - I THINK YOU SHOULD CHANGE YOUR TEACHING HABITS!
other than that, my day was pretty much normal.
i embarassed myself to death during the french presentation. when i said "temps libre", i sort of flung my arms and legs up, to symbolize freedom. unfortunately, it ended up looking like a silly whhheeee action that a little kid would do.

i feel bad. BAD BAD. i unno why
actually i DO noe why. i got an A in PE...but with a B in english. usually, its the other way around. i would feel a lot better if i got what i got in first term. but this time I HAD TO GET AN A IN PE!! I COULD'VE GOTTEN STRAIGHT A'S--PRINCIPAL'S LIST. only i cant..cuz im missing 0.6% in english. THIS IS THE WORST THING THATS EVER HAPPENED TO ME!!!
tho maybe my bad luck sticks in right now and my good luck sticks in at the first week of april. maybe...if i have my bad luck now, my good luck will propell me to the canada wide science fair...just maybe. or it will propell me to 100 dollar's worth of reward for my environmentally enthusiastic presentation about water striders.
hmmm
