He found Ohm's law and the law of the conservation of energy and a whole bunch of things a century before they were found, but since no one looked at his work, all these discoveries were already named after the people who discovered it afterwards. Then there were a lot of stuff afterwards which were not as interesting, and thus, I do not remember them.
