Summer Blog #10

my mom has just decided that we should go back to china!!! im soo happy!! also, im going to PNE on the 21st!! soo excited. i guess i'll just have to wait for the harry potter book...borrow it from somebody. im pretty sure some of my classmates would have it.
we went to the UBC nude beach today. oh gosh, my eyes were burning! there were naked mothers and fathers, with their naked children. and there were ppl having sex too, i think. oooh the pain!!
my new violin teacher is soo snobby. she says (in her list of rules) that she lets us inside 5 minutes before the starting time of our lessons and sit on her couch because she "respects us and wishes us 5 minutes of rest". i mean, we're basically her employers here! give us at least the right amount of respect! also, if we want to go on holiday and miss a class, we have to put down a "deposit". that deposit will be used for extra lessons in the future in addition to our normal classes. BITCH!

Summer Blog #9

we went hiking on monday, canada day. it was fun. i climed a full 4 km up grouse mountain. it took longer than i expected, partly because there was a little girl dragging me. the view from the top was spectacular. we ate pizza while admiring the view. my dad and the little girl's dad climed down the mountain while the girl and i came down by skyride. my mom treated us to starbucks frappucinos when we met her, and afterwards, we went to eat vietnamese noodles.
today, karen and i went out with the intention of bowling in mind. it turns out that the bowling alley doesnt open until 2 oclock. so, we went to an antique shop, looked around (karen bought some records that she thought would be worth quite a lot later), and went to superstore. we didnt buy much at superstore, only weird-tasting food that karen likes. u noe, the pickles and salted olives? i ofund those quite hard to eat.

i donno why im obsessed with PI no. its OBSESSIVE. 3.1415926535897932384i actually memorized 20 digits after the decimal point. well, that was becuz there was a pi-off in ms hu's class, but i still remember it. soo proud. now i shall write down all the long numbers i remembered. i wont tell u wat they are, just noe that i didnt just make them up. actually, u can probably guess that they are.

i think thats basically it, outside from phonenumbers. did u noe this guy in japan memorized to the 100,000th place after the decimals point of pi? crazy. but the world record that had actually been presented to the judges was 26 thousand something after the decimal point, recited by a chinese guy who recently graduated from university. it took him 24 hours and 6 minutes.

im trying to catch up to math now... i did 3 and a half pages yesterday (that doesnt sound like a lot, but believe me, it takes a long time), and im gonna do another 3 or 4 pages today.. im supposed to do 2 pages per day, but i didnt do any during the weekend, so im quite behind.

u noe, i regret declining gladstone mini now. its OFFICIAL, unlike middle years, and it teaches you quite a lot too. AND, it looks like so much fun, not that middle years isnt fun. i also regret not going to the waterfight. darn. i hope there will be another water fight. :'(

i watched 1/3rd of happy feet today. it was good, only i had to go to metrotown with karen and anne before i was finished. we went around, trying on clothes. karen and anne bullied me. their never-ending teasing annoys me so. when they kept on saying i was following them around, i looked at karen seriously and told her to stop it. and i pretended to punch her head twice, stopping quite near her head. that did the job. they didnt bother me again. i just think that karen gets so mean when shes shes with anne. not that anne's mean, its just that they think of never-ending things to tease me about. im tired of this. i wish they could stop. next time they say anything about my hair, i dont really tease karen. why should she tease me?

Summer Blog #4

i did more math, played more piano, watched more movies, read more pride and prejudice, and ate more ice cream. ooh i watched 3 movies today; the lion, the witch, and the wardrobe, fantistic four: rise of the silver surfer, and shrek the thrid. they were good. now i wanna watched AVIATOR. arrgh its sooo slow!!! i think i'll use this summer to catch up on movies that i neglected over the past 2 years that were really good.

today was one of the most boring days of my life. i sat in front of the computer, doing nothing, played piano, and did math. actually, i played 2 games of solitaire and 2 games of chess. i won both :D i think im getting better at chess. i mean, ever since i discovered that i could play a game against the computer, ive been playing at least once a day. i keep on cheating tho. cuz ure allowed to undo. and as many times as you like too!
karen downloaded mr and mrs smith, she asked me for the codec, i found the URL, she watched it. oh shes still online! aw darn shes not replying.
i started reading pride and prejudice. its ok, considering i didnt get bored after 5 pages. actually, i think i would finish the whole book. probably..
i hope aviator finishes downloading tmw. i really wanna watch it. then after that, i wanna watch the lion, the witch, and the wardrobe. then, bridge to terabithia. after that, return of the king.

Summer Blog #2

yesterday was sooo fun!!! i got my year book signed, by my classmates, and by some of my teachers. we then went to shamisen sushi, where karen and i talked with daniel and michael while eating. i think i tried everything except dumplings. we watched pirates of the caribbean at 2:00 to 5:00, then we went to get slurpies.
when we came back, guess what we talked about to michael ho? whether he was planned or not. that was weird, but karen and michael both said they were "an accident". ... i was planned, i asked my mom when i got home.

its saturday, i have done absolutely nothing except sleep and eat, and im already feeling bored. actually, i think i'll clean up a bit tmw, and then play piano and do math. gotta do more math to catch up, or im gonna get a B next year!!

WOW BLOG NUMBER 99!!!! CANT WAIT TILL 100!!! YOU KNOW, THIRD TERM ENDS ON EXACTLY MY 100TH BLOG!!!
i wonder what i'll name my blogs after i finished with third time. maybe summer 2007 blog number __? but i think i shall leave this site, save everything onto my grade 8 CD, and that will be all. i want to preserve my documents on the computer. it turns out that i dont have a lot. only 100 mb. my CD can save 700 MB. darn. oh well, i'll have my grade 8 CD nonetheless.
i really wish i dont have to do my piano lessons this week. i didnt practice at all. im gonna study for the finals hard. i already am. tmw's the last day that i could study for science and socials! better prepare! i think im alright tho.. gonna review more, make sure i noe it without thinking too much.
you know what? the hardest thing i find to remember is that the independent variable is that one that you manipulate or change. its confusing! the word "independent" means that it doesnt have to rely on something right? that makes it sound like its that varible that im observing. actually, as im writing this now, i think i get it.

i went to mrs.ferrario to get some review papers today. boy they are hard!! i finished them today (except the crossword),and i sorta memorized my french thing. sort of... gotta review it tmw morning.
do you think "the unit of money used in an area" is currency or "any unit of exchange used as money" is currency?? i dont get it...
oh darn i gotta gotta study socials and science. and english. these are the only things that i actually have to study for. theres two days (weekend) which i shall skip piano and chinese school. lets see... i'll spend half of tmw doing science, and half of tmw doing socials. i dont think english will take long tho. i'll just spend an hour doing it on both saturday and sunday. on monday and tuesday, i shall just review science and socials. actually, if i review science, i think its gonna be quite easy cuz i memorized everything before.

i have been studying LIKE CRAZY here. although i finished my science test this morning, and it was quite easy, i still need to study A LOT for socials. oh and guess what? theres an english test tmw. noooo. poetry test. im bad at analysing poems. extremely bad. heres my situation right now:
French school - GOTTA MEMORIZE THE PASSE COMPOSE RULES ARRGH
Socials Finals - I forgot all that went on in Russia (thought thats only one section), and im forgetting what went on in India after the Mongol invasions.
Science Finals - i dont need to study for chapters 10, 11, 12, but i need to review chapter 1 to 10
French Finals - EASY PEASY
Math Finals - EASY PEASY
English Finals - review poetry terms, grammar, everything we learned (which is much), plus, my English folder is a wreck. i dont noe if im missing some papers. i'll get some clarification with mr hauck about the finals tmw.

i dont think i'll get an A in science this term. im only getting an 81.5 right now, and ms kot is writing the final exam. i had a test un units 10, 11, and 12 on thursday, but i cant expect to do better on it than 86% because i never have. besides, im better at biology than physics.
ms hu finished marking our scavenger hunt maps today. she said ours wasnt original because we used to exact shape of the eye. thats bad. 19/25 means 76% ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh HOPEFULLY I GET BETTER ON MY TEST ON THURSDAY. AND MY OIL BROCHURE. AND MY PENUMBRA AND UMBRA LAB. AND MY FINAL EXAM.
the english grammar thats gonna be on the exam didnt turn out to be that hard. it was only hard cuz mr hauck was rushing through it i think. i looked at some practices online and practiced for about an hour. i think i got it down now.
as for socials, theres still a LOT OF STUFF that i need to memorize. i mean, i looekd over it, but most words dont stick to me until i read them over 3 times and try to memorize it. especially the names. i mean, how am i supposed to remember tuglak shih...uhh something. hes ...dddarn i dont remember what he did even. oh wait!! hes was in india...doing something. oh i looked it up its firuz shih tughlak and he was one of the delhi sultans. REMEMBER!!!!!!! next year, im just gonna memorize everything according to schedule. about one chapter and a bit more per month should do it.
