Happy B-day, Julianne! May all ur wishes come true!!
i just realized something. the bus drivers dont give out those old-fashioned tickets that they rip anymore. weh ni just came to canada, all the tickets were like that. now, they're all printed by a machine. all of them. 2 years ago, at least a few of them still had those old-fashioned tickets. but now, they have NONE. i kinda liked them, by the way.
u noe that sign-out places in the central library? you can sign out ur own books on these little stations on the side. those are cool. :D
well, i'll start from the beginning of today.
i slept in today..so i had to really hurry to school. the field trip started at 8:20 and i woke up at 7:50. that was pretty late eh? i got dressed and everything, and went out at 7:56 to see the bus leaving. so, i had to wait for another 10 minutes for the next bus. it turns out that i wasnt late for school at all. in fact, i had to wait in the cold, windy weather for such a long time. i noticed that mr. olson was wearing shorts. SHORTS! in the cold wind! wasnt he cold?!? i was wearing a thick poofy jacket and was still cold.
we got into the bus, and i sat all by myself. nolan was busy showing shannon his elementary school in grade 5 (emily carr), and i was busy trying to sleep. karen sat with kelly, so i sat by myself. daniel was sleeping too.
when we got to science world, we had to wait outside for a long time too.. later, we went to the omnimax theatre to watch "a human body"..blah blah boring. and we went to body worlds 3 exhibit. did i mention that telus bought science world? i could believe it. i dont want science would to be bought by telus. for some reason, i have a grudge against telus. even though my internet connection and phone connetions are both telus, i still had this little feeling that telus is greedy. well, i wouldnt want shaw to buy science world anyways. the point is, science world is no longer science world, but the telus world of science. noooooo
ok, inside bodyworlds three, we looked at lungs, intestines, muscles, blood vessels, and everything. it was quite fascinating to be how the ppl stayed upright. there was a body of a man jumping, and the only part of him that touched anything was his thigh, and it only slightly touched a bar. i checked around for strings. there werent any. i would really like to solve to mystery of how they keep bodies balanced.
we got back from science world to do a math test. it was sooo easy. im pretty sure i got all the questions right.
and square dancing..the part that i want to talk about most. this time, we chose our own groups and danced with them for the whole period. at first, i was in a group that was okay at square dancing, but i wasnt exactly pleased to dance with them. then, the girls who were sitting out chose to dance in our group, so we had to sit out. they danced to one song, and it was our turn to pick a group. guess wat? rachel (in my group) just happened to pick the group that had the guy i liked to dance with in it (ahem no names)! dat was fun. i got to dance in that group for the rest of PE class. this was the last square dancing class, and the best class ever! did i mention that we got a candy cane afterwards?
when we come back in january, we're doing...guess wat? gymnastics!! i love gymnastics. when i was 5, i did a little bit of ballet, and in grade 4 and 5, i was in gymnastics club. the teacher in charge of gymnastics club was also my grade 4 teacher, and also a participant in the olympics for gymnastics. i learned a lot of gymnastics that way, but for the past 3 years, i've gotton pretty rusty. well, i'll try to get unrusty during the winter holidays. and the best part is, we're doing gymnastics with the same grade 9 class! im excited. the grade 8 boys that i noe are just plain ugly, or they just dont appeal to me.
